About the workplace
We are now looking for a new assistive technology technician for the municipality's rehabilitation unit as one of our valued employees is retiring.
We are a dedicated team working to facilitate the daily lives of people with disabilities, where assistive devices can play a crucial role.
You will be based in our workshop and assistive device storage located at Rosenhäll, but you will work with equipment at our various care and nursing homes, group homes, and sometimes in our residents' homes. You will work alongside an experienced assistive technology technician, where you will share the workload. As an assistive technology technician, you will work with service, installation, adaptation, and repair of various types of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walking aids, beds, and lifts. The work is practical and varied, with elements of planning, documentation, and contact with suppliers. You will also work on assignments from and in close collaboration with our occupational therapists and physiotherapists and be a key person in ensuring that the assistive devices function safely and effectively for their users.
Job responsibilities
- Installation, service, and repair of various assistive devices, both in users' homes and in our municipal facilities.
- Support and training for users, relatives, and staff in the handling of assistive devices.
- Collaboration with occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and other staff within the rehabilitation unit as well as within the rest of the municipality.
- Participation in procurement, inventory management, and administrative tasks related to the operations.

Qualifications
- Technical education at the high school level or equivalent experience.
- Good knowledge of and interest in assistive technology as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve technical problems.
- Good computer skills and administrative ability.
- Good collaboration skills, service mindset, and pedagogical ability.
- A valid driver's license (B) is required.
Meritorious
- Education in the field of assistive devices and/or experience working with assistive devices or similar operations.
- Knowledge of disabilities and rehabilitation.
- Experience in social work
